SPEC DAY CAMP IS FULL. PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILDREN TO THE WAITLIST BELOW FOR EACH WEEK YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. WE WILL REACH OUT TO THOSE ON THE WAITLIST IF ANY OPENINGS BECOME AVAILABLE.

This year, Spec Day Camp registration will be a LOTTERY. Every family that is interested in registering for Spec Day Camp will have an equal opportunity to do so through a lottery and registration will NOT be a first come first serve line at the Recreation Office. Our hope is to provide equality to all families with a lottery. 

To enter the lottery, please complete the Google Form below. Only 1 entry is permitted per set of children/child. If a child(ren) resides at more than one household, only 1 entry is permitted. The form will be open through March 19th.

FUN HAPPENS AT SPEC... Celebrating summer fun for kids for over 30 years! 

Spec Day camp is committed to children. Campers will find a summer full of age-appropriate games, art, sports, swimming, nature, camp crafts and so much more!
--Camp is based at the Spec Pond Pavilion at the Spec Pond Recreational Complex on Boston Road in Wilbraham.
--Spec Day Camp is open to Wilbraham residents ONLY
--Camp complies with the regulations of the MA Dept. of Public Health and is licensed by the Wilbraham Board of Health.
--Staff is carefully chosen and trained to provide campers with a safe, friendly and caring environment.

Each week has an exciting theme and many activities revolve around the weekly theme.
Spec Camp begins July 8 and runs for six weeks. You may register for one, some, or all of the exciting weeks!

Parent Pack, Registration Forms, and the Massachusetts Health Form are available below. Doctor office printouts for camp are also accepted. 

Registration
  • The standard refund policy will be followed for all registrations (see 2024 Spec Day Camp Parent Pack).
  • Once camp begins July 8th, a late fee will be charged to new registrations made one week before your child starts camp. Adding an additional week to your registration (as available) will not be subject to a late fee.
  • The required health form(s) must be received AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Please plan your camp physicals accordingly. Doctor's office printouts of health forms are accepted.
  • If you register on the Thursday or Friday before, there will be a late fee of $10.00 per child added.
  • You must download and read the Parent Pack before your child participates (below under Additional Forms and Files).

Weekly Sessions/Themes
Session 1: July 8 - 12: Wild About Summer with Field Trip to Trampoline Park!
This week is an animal themed kick off to summer. We start this week with classic games and finish with "escape the zoo!"

Session 2: July 15 - 19: It's A Shore Thing with Field Trip to Shaker Bowl
This week is the first water week of the summer. We have our annual sand castle competition and water themed games, perfect for the hot summer days!

Session 3: July 22 - 26: A Whole New World with Field Trip to Interskate
This week is our first competition style week. Campers are separated into teams based on Disney characters and compete against each other throughout the week.

Session 4: July 29 - August 2: Water World
From water relays to our annual boat race, this second water week is sure to splash up some fun!

Session 5: August 5 - 9: Color Clash with Field Trip to Trampoline Park!
This week is a staff favorite! Campers are broken into two teams and compete throughout the week to figure out which team will come out on top!

Session 6: August 12 - 16: Greatest Hits
To finish out the summer, we spend this week playing camper and staff favorite games--dodgeball, capture the flag, kickball, and much more!
